Monday - Left Nairobi for Mombasa. Had eventful flight - just as we were about to take off and the nose was lifting, pilot slammed on the anchors and aborted it. Explanation given was that one of the doors hadn't been shut properly! Paul expected return to the lounge whilst full mechanical investigation was completed. In fact we simply went round the block whilst the cabin crew slammed it shut and the pilot announced he would be making another attempt at take-off and hoped the door wouldn't open again!!!
Met up with Humphrey - Fixer No: 2! Visited port for emotional re-union with bikes. Assembled and running in less than an hour - Result! With a bit of luck they should be cleared early tomorrow and we will be on our way........
